Brandon Halberg, guest conductor

As a New Milford Connecticut native, conductor Brandon Halberg is committed to building lasting community music programs across the Northeast. Brandon has served as the Assistant Conductor of the Connecticut Valley Symphony Orchestra, as well as a Guest Conductor for Symphoria Youth Orchestras and the Congregation Beth Israel Orchestra and Chorale. A passionate advocate for contemporary music, Brandon has collaborated with and premiered works by Joseph Schwantner, Nahla Mattar, and Neva Derewetzky. He holds dual education degrees from the University of Connecticut, a Masters of Orchestral Conducting degree from Binghamton University, and has studied conducting with Dr. Paul McShee, Dr. William Culverhouse, and Mr. Harvey Felder.
