MUSIC: Manchester Symphony closes out season; music director conducts last concert here

Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale will close its 2021-22 season with “Disney’s Magical Music,” a pops concert, Saturday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m. at Bailey Auditorium at Manchester High School.
The concert will be conducted by orchestra music director Luca Antonucci and chorale music director Carolina Flores.
This concert will be Antonucci’s final regular concert season appearance.
Antonucci, who holds a master’s degree in orchestral conducting from the Hartt School of Music, will continue his conducting studies this fall at the University of Michigan.
He has been leading the orchestra since January 2019.
The program will include Dukas’ “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” from the movie “Fantasia,” plus selections from “Frozen,” “The Lion King,” and “Pinocchio.”
Tickets will be sold at the door. Admission is $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, free to youth younger than 18, students of any age, and military personnel.
